Service Outline
The exclusion service:
- Provides high quality advice to schools, Governors, parents and support agencies on exclusion procedures
- Offers training and support to Headteachers, Governors and Clerks to Discipline Committees on the exclusion process
- Monitors exclusions from schools
- Represents the Chief Education Officer at Governors Discipline Committee meetings
- Education Support Officers carry out home visits following a permanent exclusion
- Monitors and places permanently excluded pupils
