Public service agreement
Service Outline
The Manchester Local Public Service Agreement (LPSA) is a voluntary agreement between the Council and the Government. It is made up of 13 targets that the Council must achieve either more quickly or to a greater extent than otherwise, aimed at improving the quality of life for Manchester residents. The agreement also has commitment from the Manchester Partnership (made up of our partners including the Health Authority, the three Primary Care Trusts, Greater Manchester Police and the Employment Service).
The agreement allows the Council and the organisations we work with to better tackle priorities for improvement in Manchester, such as increasing employment, helping neighbourhoods improve and enabling people to get involved and have their say about services. It provides a focus on improving opportunities and quality of life for local people.
