Service Outline
Under powers granted by the Environmental Protection Act 1990, we inspect the City for areas of potentially contaminated land. Where land has been identified and is shown to present a risk we will take remedial steps to ensure it is made safe.
We also maintain a contaminated land public register which is available for inspection by request.
Occupiers or their representatives can request information about the historic and current condition of the land - There may be a charge for this service.
