Manchester aims to be the most accessible city in Europe. In 2000 the City Council launched its Access 2000 Strategy, which delivered the most inclusive major sporting event ever held. Manchester Leisure is playing a significant role in developing and achieving the Access Strategy and the City Council's overall access aim.
