Manchester Multi-Agency Gang Strategy (MMAGS)

Service Outline

The Youth Offending Service also manages the Manchester Multi Agency Gang Service (MMAGS).MMAGS is a multi-agency team working solely to tackle the problems of street gangs involved in firearms use.

The team:

• Enforces the law to secure convictions for gun crime.
• Provides support for victims, witnesses, and families
• Rehabilitates those convicted of gun and gang-related offending
• Presents young people with opportunities in education and employment
