Temporary works on the highway
Service Outline
As highway authority consent is required from us for any temporary works on the highway, to ensure they are undertaken safely and don't cause unnecessary obstruction or disruption to people. This includes:- Making excavations;
- Placing private utility apparatus;
- Temporarily depositing building materials, rubbish or other items;
- Using temporary traffic lights.
An individual consent is required each time any temporary works are undertaken.
