Tree Management

Service Outline

Manchester City Council is responsible for the efficient management of trees within the authority. This includes the application of Tree Preservation Orders and the protection of trees within Conservation Areas as well as the efficient management of dangerous trees on private or council land, excluding highways, within the authority.

Manchester City Council is also responsible for the efficient management of historic hedgerows and processing complaints between neighbours regarding high hedges, as a last resort.
