Best Value is a way of continuously improving the way the Councils and other public organisations work.

It is about providing the services that the local community wants at a price they and their councillors are prepared to pay. Councils must compare their performance against that of other local authorities and other service providers to ensure that the community and visitors are receiving "best value".
