School holiday schemes
Service Outline
An Open Access playscheme offers supervised play opportunities for school aged children during school holidays within their local community.
Play sessions are usually between 2 to 3 hours in duration, mornings and/or afternoons.
Parents/carers need to be aware that Open Access playschemes do not provide care for their children in their absence.
Open Access playschemes are not usually suitable for working parents who should seek Out of School Care provision by telephoning the Children's Information Service on 0800 083 7921.
