Adoption: Outline

Adoption is providing a permanent family for a child or children in care, who cannot, for whatever reason, return to their birth family. Adoption requires a lifelong commitment.

When you adopt a child you take on all the rights and responsibilities for the children that birth families have. Adoption offers children the stability and security of family life that they may not have experienced before.

Adopting children can be extremely rewarding and fulfilling, it can also present challenges.

If you want to adopt, we will support you through the process and offer advice and guidance throughout the child's life into adulthood.
