Home care

Service Outline

Home Care is a service to help people who have difficulty doing day-to-day tasks for themselves in their own homes for a variety of reasons. This includes people who have trouble moving about, dressing, washing and cooking amongst other things. Home carers visit when required and assist with these tasks to enable people to remain independent instead of having to leave their own home to receive residential care.

If we can, we will help you to regain independence for yourself through our reablement service so you don't need to rely on other people, though help is available if the reablement service won't improve your situation.

Home care providers work under contract to the City Council in most cases and are not City Council employees.
