People should be able to use our roads, pavements and footpaths safely, without obstruction.
Sometimes, road works, building work or public events can only be undertaken by taking up road/pavement space. We have licensing and permitting arrangements in place that ensure that these activities are undertaken safely and cause the least obstruction and disruption to people using the roads and pavements.
Unreasonable obstructions on a road, pavement or path may be a danger or nuisance to people.
