Food labelling and composition

Service Outline

Food labels are there to provide information on what we are eating.  All items should display:

  • name of the food
  • list of ingredients
  • storage instructions
  • use by/best before dates
  • country of origin
  • nutritional information
  • recommended average daily energy allowances
  • weight of food

There are regulations that prevent manufacturers using misleading food labels.
