Councillors rarely have a free weekend and this one is no different. First there is the regular monthly advice bureau at St. Peter's Church, a lovely listed building in Blackley Village. As usual it coincides with a church drop-in so as well as picking up a number of problems to solve there's a chance for a cup of tea and a chat. Crumpsall doesn't have lots of listed buildings but another is St. Matthews Church at the heart of the Delaunays Road conservation area. Next stop is the somewhat less elegant adjoining parish hall with my council colleague Con Keegan to meet with the parochial church council to discuss some plans for working with young people in the Crumpsall area. A good meeting followed by a very welcome lunch before going onto the next job.
