Slowing Down

A catching up with paperwork day today plus lots of reports to clear for next week's Executive. A gentle pedal into the Town Hall (apart from the wind) helps loosen up muscles aching from yesterday's exertions in the Great Manchester Run.

Finished in 45 minutes exactly, another year older and over a minute slower but like the winner I'm blaming the wind. Never mind my time, what a great day it was in Manchester. 33,000 runners (I was number 33000) and many more spectators lining the streets to cheer them on, and then later on, even in the rain, Deansgate full to capacity to watch Usain Bolt tear down the spectacular 150m track running right down the middle of the street. Hundreds of thousands of pounds raised for good causes, I was running for the Christie Appeal, all-in-all a day the city and everybody who took part can be proud of.
