Grass verges

  1. What the project will do

This project will sort out the damaged grass verges at:

    • Riverdale Road in Higher Blackley
    • Shaftesbury Road in Cheetham
    • Errwood Road in Burnage

Cars have been parking on the verges. This leaves tyre tracks on the grass which get really muddy in the rain. This looks a mess and the mud spreads on to the pavement and can block the grids on the road too.

We will put in the low wooden beams called ‘kick rails’ to keep the cars off the grass and sort the problem out for good.

  2. How much funding this project was given

    £70,860
