Summary
Following public consultation we have extended the duration of the Rochdale Canal Undercroft, Piccadilly Public Spaces Protection Order that originally came into effect on 24 April 2017 under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 for a period of three years, with the extension it is in effect until 23 April 2023, at which time it will be reviewed.
The Order is in place to prevent criminal and anti-social activities in the restricted areas - robbery, theft, assault, threats to harm, criminal damage, abusive behaviour, anti-social behaviour including drug taking and drug-related activity, sexual activity, defecation, urination.
