Colleagues who studied Drama at Manchester University in the early 1960’s have asked me to forward the attached expression of solidarity for the people who are coming to terms with the terrible suffering that this atrocity has caused in the knowledge that nevertheless the Manchester spirit will continue unabated.------------------------------------
We are moved and share in the grief for those that tragically died or were wounded in this horrific attack and extend our heartfelt commiserations to their families and the citizens of Manchester.

As former students in the ground-breaking Drama department at Manchester University in the mid 1960’s, we experienced the all embracing spirit of your wonderful city and we are about to join together again there, for our first ever commemorative gathering, this autumn.

We trust that all children and young people affected, young as we were then, will find the strength to come together and counter hate with love.

    With our love.

Antony Barlow, Alistair Livingstone, Joanna Tope, Terry Wilton, Catherine and Ritchie Spencer, Athene Fielding, George Taylor, Andrew Sanders, Tony Jackson, Phillip Mann, Robert Millington, Christopher Baugh, Sue and Chris Meredith, Peter & Rita Thomson, Stephanie Turner, David Pease, Anne de Suiza, Sarah Fisher, Harriet Weidmann, Michael Weller, Carry Gorney, Sarah Woodcock, Carolyn Black, Tony Gow, Christine Stott, David Zinder.
