    Looking for the latest bestseller? Need help jobseeking? Fancy a DVD -- from blockbusters to stand-up to Shakespeare? We’ve got storytimes and holiday fun. We’ve got wifi and PCs. We’ve got health advice, study zones and business info. We are bonkers about Wythenshawe’s heritage and we’ve got free Ancestry to trace your family tree. And if we’ve not got what you want – ask – we’ll get it!

    Computer access within the library will shut down 15 minutes before the library closes.

    • Tuesday: 9am-8pm
    • Wednesday: 9am-5pm
    • Thursday: 9am-5pm
    • Friday: closed
    • Saturday: 9am-1pm 2-5pm

    Bank holidays we are closed.

    • Afro tots - preschool play group for children 0-11 yrs, we play & learn together about African culture. £1 per child. Third Saturday each month, meeting room 1 at 2-4:45pm;
    • Paint pot art workshop - are you interested in art? Then come along to this self-taught group. Every Tuesday 12-4pm, meeting room 1;
    • Chess club - enjoy chess? Join our regular players for a game. Every Monday 1– 4pm in the reference library;
    • Family history club - join us each month for help, tips & advice on researching your family tree. First and third Thursday each month at 10.30am-12noon in the IT suite;
    • Grand day out - over 55? Looking for a change? Join us every Wednesday, Forum Centre Wythenshawe at 10am-4pm; Easy rhythm chair based exercise, Yoga & tea dances. For more information call the Forum library on 227 3770;
    • KNOT - knitting is enjoying a huge revival and Forum library is right on trend with a thriving knitting group. Every Wednesday 1-5pm in the meeting room 1;
    • Library reading group for adults - last Tuesday of the month from 1.30-3.30pm in the Macmillan room;
    • Tiny tots & toddler time - come & join us for stories, songs & rhymes for all families with under 5’s. Every Tuesday 11-11:30am, term time only in the children’s library;
    • Wythenshawe University of the 3rd Age (U3A), are you retired? Do you enjoy learning? Varied programme of speakers throughout the year. Third Tuesday each month, 10am-12noon in meeting room 1;
    • Wythenshawe history group - join us every Monday to enjoy looking back at local history with a fun & friendly group of local residents. All welcome. Every Monday 6:30-8pm in the reference library & meeting room 1;
    • Benefits advice appointments are available by appointment. Please call 0161 234 3695;
    • Family law clinic with Otten Penna Solicitors - Every Thursday from 12noon-2pm in the IT suite forum library - no appointment necessary;
    • Handing in benefits documents - are you claiming Housing benefit, Council tax benefit or Education benefits? We can make it easier for you!
    • Macmillan information and support service offer friendly, informal & confidential support. Call into the Forum library, or call 227 3727;
    • People first advice service - advice service for clients needing support with: filling out forms, reading through letters, housing advice & more. Drop in session every Thursday 10am-1pm in meeting room 2 or if you prefer book an appointment call 235 6900;
    • Alcoholics anonymous - meet in the Forum library. Every Monday at 1pm in meeting room 1;
    • Anxiety group - do you suffer from phobias or any other anxiety related problem? Every Saturday we meet at 10am–12noon in the Macmillan room;
    • Narcotics anonymous - membership is open to anyone with a drug problem seeking help. Every Tuesday, 6-7.45pm in meeting room 1;
    • MAES job club - do you need help in job searching? Drop in to the job club & get online. Every Tuesday 9.30am to 12 noon in the IT suite;
    • MAES CV & Interview Skills Workshop - do you need help to update your CV or create a CV? Help is here, drop in every Wednesday 9.30am-12 noon in the IT suite - no need to book;
    • Our reading group meets on the last Tuesday of every month, 1.30-3pm - everyone is welcome
