Summary
To trade on the Manchester Specialist Markets you first need to apply to register on the Specialist Markets trader database.
Traders will be registered according to their trade type, and then invited in advance to trade on individual markets where the trade type fits with the type and location of the market.

Validity / Renewals
Registration will remain in force until it is either changed or cancelled.

Attachments to be submitted with your Application
a) Proof of identity (passport, driving licence, photo identity card)
b) Proof of address (financial statement, utility bill or TV licence, insurance certificate, government agency document, uk driving licence, addressed payslip)
c) Public Liability Insurance policy document or NMTF membership card
d) Certificate of registration with Environmental Health Department for a food business establishment
e) Business photographs -

Declaration
Upon completion of your application you will be required to confirm that you:

b) understand that by submitting this application, you consent to Manchester City Council passing on the data within this application and its supporting documents to any authority or person that will assist its determination of this application, or as required by law
c) declare that the information provided is true to the best of your knowledge and belief
d) understand that if any false information is provided you may be guilty of an offence and liable to prosecution
e) understand that if the application is authorised you must inform the authority about any changes to circumstances that mean you no longer meet the conditions for the authorisation
f) understand where a statutory declaration has been provided it may be forwarded to Greater Manchester Police

Processing Timescales
Providing the application is complete, applications to register on the Specialist
Markets trader database will be processed within three weeks.
Following approval of an application the applicant will be contacted to confirm the trader category to which they have been assigned. -
Will Tacit Consent Apply
Tacit Consent will apply. This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from Manchester City Council by the end of the target period.
Please note Tacit Consent will only apply once a full application has been submitted and you have received an acknowledgment from Manchester City Council. -
