Summary
If you want to carry on the business of Tattooing, Acupuncture, Ear and Cosmetic Piercing, Electrolysis or Skin Colouring within Manchester you must be registered with Manchester City Council.
The premises where the business is conducted must also be registered with Manchester City Council.

£43.00 to register a practitioner
£72.00 to register the premises

Registration will remain in force until either the business ceases to exist or registration is cancelled.

Upon completion of your application you will be required to confirm that you:

Processing Timescales
A Public Protection Officer will undertake an inspection of premises, to ensure the premises comply with all relevant regulations (hygiene, health and safety) and the applicant is suitably qualified and competent. If the inspection is satisfactory, details are entered onto the register and the licence will be granted and issued within 28 days of receipt of the application.
