I am a transport operator: how do I apply for school contracts?

Operators are required to submit a pre-qualifying questionnaire (for more information see our Current Tenders page). Routes available for tender would be advertised on the Council's website and in the European Journal.

The current Travel Coordination Unit Tender is not due to expire until July 2009, at which time new and existing operators will be required to register there interest and will need to provide details of their organisation. You will be asked for evidence of your licensing arrangements and the various insurances required under the terms of the contract. 

The current vehicles used on Travel Coordination Unit contracts are required to have the following insurances:

• fully comprehensive motor vehicle insurance,
• employer's liability insurance, and
• public liability insurance
