Can my child get admission in a school while we have no legal status in the UK?
Any child currently living in the UK is entitled to access to education, so your child would be able to get admission to a school whether you have legal status in the UK or not. The exception to this is if you are in the UK on a short term basis (three months or less), then the admissions section of your local authority would not process an application for admission to a school.
You may not however be able to access public funds other than to gain admission to a school, for example, free school travel or free school meals as this would depend on your immigration status.
