What happens if I lose a library book?

When you inform us that you have lost or damaged a book or other item of library stock:

• You will be asked to pay the current replacement cost of the item and an administration charge of £2 per item
• If the lost item is later found, we will refund any replacement cost paid (on production of receipt) but not the administration charge
• You will also be asked to pay any overdue charges (if applicable) on the item, but these will be frozen at the time that you report it missing / damaged.
