How will the new Central Library be different from what we have now?

Central Library will become the place where historic, academic and treasured collections and services will be provided.  It will be a centre of archive excellence, and will provide easier access and presentation to our city's heritage.
There will be a brand new family and community lending service in the adjoining Town Hall Extension. This will be a key part of the City Council's new customer service centre.
