Can actors on stage or TV smoke?

The Smoke-free (Exemptions and Vehicles) Regulations 2007 allow an exemption from the smoke free legislation where the artistic integrity of a performance makes it appropriate for an actor to smoke.

Musical performers on stage are not exempt from the smoke-free regulations.
