Advice in Manchester
Community Legal Advice Services
There are six Community Legal Advice Services (CLAS) across Manchester who can provide advice and support for:
- Debt
- Housing
- Welfare Benefits
- Employment
- Community Care
- Family crises
- Immigration (low level)
Each Community Legal Advice Service, which is privided by the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) will provide all Manchester Residents with:
- Extended Opening Times
- A one-stop service
- Telephone and email advice services
- Modern premises
- Outreach services across the city
Legal Aid Services are also provided to people with more complex cases.
In addition to these services, we run a number of targeted advice services for the following groups:
- Independent Domestic Violence Advisory Service
- Advice for residents at risk of losing their homes
- Benefits and advice for people with Mental Health issues
- Benefits and advice for people with HIV
- Benefits and advice for people with Cancer
- Benefit appeals support
