Approach and car parking

The accessible parking bay is located on Lloyd Street. It should be booked in advance of a visit for disabled drivers or a companion who may be assisting. If you are attending an event, inform your event organiser who will book it for you. Ramped access to the Town Hall is provided at the Lloyd Street entrance.

The Town Hall reception desks are located at the Lloyd Street and Albert Square entrances. They can provide the services listed below. If the service you require is not listed please request assistance from our reception staff who will endeavour to meet your requirements.

Induction loop system to aid communication (at Albert Square and St Peter's Square reception desks only)
Access to a textphone telephone
A member of staff to sign for hearing impaired customers
Information in large print and other alternative formats (this may need to be forwarded to you depending on the format requested)

Lifts in the Town Hall

The accessible lift (lift 19) is adjacent to Lloyd Street reception desk for easy access to the meeting and state rooms on the second floor. The alternative lift (lift 20) is located near the accessible toilet on the ground floor (Level 1). There is no audible announcement system within the lift.

Accessible toilets in the Town Hall

The accessible toilets are located on the ground floor (Level 1) near Lift 20 and on the second floor (Level 2) behind the Great Hall.

Means of escape

Evacuation chairs are available if needed
All entrances and fire exits will be open as a means of escape in the event of an emergency
