There is a Joint Health Scrutiny Committee for Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust to scrutinise the services provided by the Trust and to contribute to policy to improve health and reduce health inequalities.

The Joint Health Scrutiny Committee is made up of 3 Elected Members from each of the authorities that make up the Pennine Acute footprint - the area covered by the Trust - Bury, Rochdale and Oldham and the north of Manchester.

As the committee is inactive at this time the Council has not appointed any Manchester City Councillors to sit on it.
