Abraham Moss - Latest Artist Impression (Jan 2011)
  • Project Status: On-Site
  • Start on site: April 2010
  • Construction team: GB Building Solutions
  • Architects: Ellis Williams
  • Completion: Summer 2012

Work has started on the £17.5 million rebuild and refurbishment of Abraham Moss High School which is located on Crescent Road, Crumpsall.

The 1200 place school sits within a 40 acres development which includes a leisure centre, library, theatre, recording studio, further education facilities and a range of local agencies and community groups.

The 60% new build and 40% upgrade of the school will result in striking new main entrance, new dining facilities and an exterior covered area, a new courtyard with performance space, a sensory garden and an all weather sports pitch. The design also includes accommodation for a 25 place Special Educational Needs resource provision.

Building work is progressing well with the old school building being demolished and replaced with a four storey high steel frame which can be seen from Crescent Road and the passing Metrolink Trams.
