Work has now started on the £3.1m refurbishment and rebuilding work at St Peter's High School that will result in improved educational facilities for its current 900 students as well as providing new facilities for SEN pupils with speech, language and communications needs and places for children with physical disabilities.
The new build section of work comprises an environmentally viable green roof, which will blend into the local environment. In addition, there will be a range of new facilities to support SEN students. This will include a therapy room, mentor room and a physiotherapy room. Work will also include ICT improvements and the creation of extended services that will be accessible to the local community.
