Environmental and community campaigns
Introduction to the Environmental Campaigns Team
The Environmental Campaigns team promotes sustainability and environmental issues - everything from encouraging people to recycle more and keeping our streets clean to using our cars less and helping businesses to be more green. Members of the team are also responsible for coordinating environmental education via the Eco Schools programme, and for coordinating Manchester's Bloom entries.
Some of the work the team undertakes has close links with the Green City Team, but other campaign work highlights environmental crimes such as dog fouling, fly-posting and tipping.
We work with communities, business, schools and residents to make Manchester a cleaner, safer city to work, live and play in. Our year-round campaign is now called "Be Proud - Love Manchester" (external site)
You may see our campaigns trailer at events around the city or at fun days in the city's parks. We welcome feedback and comments about the issues that are important to you so please come and say "hello!"
