Want to rent a home from a not-for-profit landlord?
Before you start
Renting from a not-for-profit landlord may not be the only way for you to get a home; before you start, see how to increase your housing options.
The Manchester Housing Register
Manchester City Council and many of the city's other not-for-profit landlords team-up to run the 'Manchester Housing Register' - a list of people looking for a home in the city.
When you apply for a home with any of these landlords, all the other landlords in the Manchester Housing Register usually get your details to see what they can offer you. You only need to fill in one form to be considered for a home by all these landlords.
Homefinder and home exchange
To look for homes from these landlords, look at the Homefinder website, Manchester's online listing of available homes. You need to be registered to get one of these homes - you can start your registration online on the Homefinder website.
Or find out more about registering for rehousing, or contact a landlord directly.
If you need to move quickly, and are already a tenant of a not-for-profit landlord, you might be better trying to to exchange your home with another tenant.
To find out how to get a home from a landlord not in the Manchester Housing Register, contact that individual landlord. See a full list of Manchester landlords.
