Manchester Workforce Development
Manchester Involved
Welcome to Manchester Involved, Manchester's Leisure Services Workforce Development (MLSWD)
Here you will find a wide range of nationally recognised qualifications and courses designed to educate anyone wanting to become involved in sports coaching, officiating, volunteering and leading physical activity.
The department provides a vital link to other support services, including club development, voluntary sector provision, additional funding opportunities, and a greater support and advice network within sport.
This work directly addresses the city's culture base, accelerating community development by increasing local cultural activity and linking with the shared priority outcomes of the Community Strategy and the Cultural Strategy, such as social inclusion, equality, valuing older people and community engagement. This includes growing the voluntary sector infrastructure and enhancing liveability and the environment.
If you are beginning to think about taking awards for sports coaching and learning how to become a volunteer, referee or physical activity leader, get in touch with us.
MLSWD is working continuously to enhance individual employment opportunities by helping more people to become qualified sports coaches and physical leaders.
