As the home of British Cycling, Manchester is a city which considers cycling a high priority. There are a wide range of opportunities to take part in cycle-sport and leisure in the city:
Go-Ride skills coaching and racing in schools and clubs
- Go-Ride coached holiday schemes for young people
- Cycling Clubs in a range of disciplines including BMX, track and road
- Manchester Velodrome - schools sessions, tasters and track leagues
- Platt Fields Park BMX Track - open sessions and group bookings
- Cycling events such as Skyride Manchester, The BMX National Series and the Track and Paracycling World Cups
- Inclusive cycling sessions open to those with disabilities
- Recreational and leisure rides in and around Manchester , including rides in some of Manchester's award-winning parks.
- Health Referral rides to improve health through activity
- Manchester cycle maps and cycling promotion events such as Bike Week
