Getting your views about social care in Manchester

Customer Consultation Event 5th March 2010

Manchester City Council asked customers, providers and local groups who work to support adults in Manchester to have their say about the support for adults in Manchester at an event on 5th March 2010.

Thank you to everyone who came along. The event was well attended with over 150 customers attending.

We were given us lots of feedback which we are collating and will circulate soon.

What was it about

Social care is changing. The changes are all about people having more choice and control over their support. We are improving some services and want to bring in new ones, and we asked people to tell us if they think we are doing the right things.

What happened

We spent some time telling people why things were changing and explaining how they could give their views on changes and things which might change in the future.

We also invited people to volunteer to help shape services and the way we communicate.

You can see the presentation given on the day and download a form to volunteer to help us communicate better here.
