Parks - a home to wildlife
Manchester's parks, green spaces, woodlands and river valleys are vital resources for the city's wildlife and home to a range of habitats and species. These make up a rich and valuable diversity that we should aim to protect and manage so they can be enjoyed by all, both now, and in the future.
Our parks and woodlands are home to two Local Nature Reserves - Blackley Forest and Chorlton Water Park - and 15 Sites of Biological Interest.
