Bookings

• All bookings must be made on the official booking application form and be accompanied by payment or company official order.
• Bookings placed more than 4 weeks before the course start date may be accompanied by a 50% deposit, non-refundable except as described in 2.7
• Bookings placed 4 weeks or less prior to the commencement of the course should be accompanied by payment in full.
• Party leaders must obtain parental consent for minors to attend, and must obtain medical information, and make a health declaration, for all participants.

Cancellations

By Client:

• All cancellations must be in writing.
• If you cancel more than 4 weeks before the start of your course, your deposit is retained.
• If less than 4 weeks notice of cancellation is given, 80% of your course fee is retained.
• If you cancel 2 weeks or less before the start of your course, 100% of the course fee will be retained.
• Bookings are non-transferable.

By Debdale Outdoor Centre:

• Every attempt will be made to ensure your course actually runs. However,
• Manchester City Council reserves the right to cancel any course if the numbers on the course fall below the workable minimum. In this event every effort will be made to contact you as early as possible. You may then choose either a full refund, or an alternative course.
• Manchester City Council's liability does not extend beyond 2.7 above.
• Manchester City Council reserves the right to cancel or amend any activity if necessary to ensure the safety of participants.

Insurance and risk 

• Manchester City Council carries the mandatory insurance cover relating to third parties.
• 3.2 - Debdale Outdoor Centre takes safety seriously and has an excellent safety record.  Nevertheless clients must accept the inherent risks in adventure activities. You participate at your own risk. You are strongly recommended to take out your own insurance cover for personal accident and for your belongings.

General

• You must be willing to comply with all safety regulations.
• The Centre will provide all specialist equipment. You will need to bring the items described on your course joining instructions.
• Age restrictions apply to some activities.
• For water based activities, you should be confident in water.
• Photographs of the activity may be used for promotional purposes, unless you notify the Centre otherwise at the time the photographs are taken.
