Kayaking

BCU 1 star (weekend course)

Course fee - £139.00   

Suitable for the complete beginner, no experience is necessary. The course concentrates on safe practice, equipment, basic strokes, and fun. A flat water award that demonstrates an individual has basic boat control and foundation skills. You will be encouraged to try both kayaks and canoes.

BCU 2 star (weekend course)

Course fee - £139.00

This is an improvement award that helps paddlers develop fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water. The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and developing an understanding into how the paddle, boat and water interact. Pre-requisite: BCU 1 Star Award or equivalent ability. This award is obtained by using both kayaks and canoes.

Family canoeing weekend (weekend course)

Course fees - £139.00 (adults), £68.00 (youth) 

This course is designed to introduce the exciting sport of kayaking and canoeing to families. Adults and children are taught together, with a maximum of 2 families per course. Canoeing is a sport that all the family can enjoy. Private courses can also be arranged, please contact the Centre for details.
