Some people find it difficult to walk, and walking sticks and walking frames can provide the extra support that's needed. These walking aids can help in the home and also make it possible for people to get around outside the house. People with visual impairments might find a white walking stick or cane useful, and we can also train you how to use them.

Wheelchairs and electric scooters can make it possible for people with mobility difficulties to travel around on their own. We don't provide this type of equipment directly but we can help you find a supplier. When purchasing your own electric scooter, we strongly advise you to consider how you would access your home to arrange recharging the scooter battery, as you may not be eligible for a ramp. This can add additional cost.

There are adaptations to your home that can make it easier and safer to move about. Simple things like grab rails fixed to the wall to help you steady yourself can make a big difference. A stairlift can remove the risk of a fall and ramps can make things easier for people who use a wheelchair.
