Services for Carers

Information if you are a Carer

Sign VideoThere are over 6 million carers in the UK, which saves the economy £87 billion per year. In Manchester alone, 55,000 carers provide unpaid support for a relative, friend or neighbour - so isn't it time that carers received the support they need?

The Carers Strategy team at Manchester City Council can arrange for a Carers assessment to see what help and support we can offer you. Find out more on the main Carers information pages.

MyManchesterServices has information about organisations and services who can help and support you in your caring role. Choose MyManchesterServices in the Further Information box below.

The Carers Commissioning Strategy explains how we intend to procure services to meet Carers' needs.

Working Carers are also a top priority, and it is often difficult to juggle to dual roles of work and care. Find out how we can support you here.

LGBT Carers ForumFor carers who identify as being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender, the LGF Carers Forum is a useful resource.
