Childcare providers: register with us

Some parents of two, three or four years olds are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare a week for 38 weeks of the year with eligible childcare providers in Manchester. If you are a childcare provider, but not registered with us to offer free childcare, you can now apply.

By registering, you will get guaranteed funding from us for children who get free childcare hours.

More parents are claiming their free hours, so the demand for eligible childcare providers is high.

To apply to be on our register of eligible childcare providers you must:

  • be looking after, or intend to look after, two, three or four year olds; and
  • be based in the area covered by Manchester City Council; and
  • have an Ofsted grading of 'good' or 'outstanding' (if you have a grading of less than good, contact your quality assurance officer to discuss if you can register).

If you are eligible, please send us your name, address, contact number and details of where you offer childcare, to ey-free.entitlement@manchester.gov.uk

We'll then invite you to a briefing where we'll explain more about how you claim and how we'll pay you.
