The area & map
The Miles Platting Neighbourhood PFI includes all of Miles Platting, and parts of Ancoats and Collyhurst.
It is predominantly council housing, mostly built in the sixties and seventies. Just half a mile east of the city centre, it runs from Great Ancoats Street to Hulme Hall Lane, south of Oldham Road. See map.
It's part of the wider East Manchester regeneration area, where a range of schemes are bringing millions of pounds of improvements to people's homes, the environment and local facilities.
