Getting a discount on your Council Tax bill
Council Tax Benefit and Second Adult Rebate
You may be able to claim Council Tax Benefit to help towards your Council Tax bill if you are on a low income.
Even if you are not on a low income, but you have someone living with you (not your partner) who is on a low income, can't afford to help you pay the Council Tax and stops you getting a Single-person Discount off your Council Tax, you may be able to claim Second Adult Rebate.
There is also Second Adult Rebate for students to help students who can't claim an exemption from Council Tax because one or more people on certain benefits are living with them.
