Tell us as soon as you can if you move:
- from one Manchester home to another. More detail about how we work out your charge and bill you.
- to a Manchester home from outside the city. More detail about how we work out your charge and bill you.
- from a Manchester home to one outside the city. More detail about how we work out your charge and bill you.
You must pay your council tax for the financial year by 31 March. The earlier you tell us, the more time you will have to pay.
If you are moving from another Manchester address we will close your old account and send you a bill for anything you still owe. If you have overpaid, we will transfer the credit to your new account or refund you. Your new bill will show your new installments.
