About the ASB case review
Background:
The ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014 introduced the Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Case Review. Put simply, it’s a way members of the public can ask the relevant bodies to review their responses to complaints of antisocial behaviour.
The relevant bodies are;
- Manchester City Council (responsible for coordinating ASB Case Reviews)
- Greater Manchester Police
- Manchester Integrated Care Partnership
- Social Housing Providers
The ASB case review has been designed to make sure that we work together to resolve antisocial behaviour.
How we will work together:
We will talk about the problem, share information and act together to try and resolve the anti-social behaviour.
The ASB Case Review won't replace organisations' own complaints procedures, and you'd still have the opportunity to complain to a specific organisation (and ultimately the Ombudsman or Independent Office for Police Conduct) if you are unhappy about the service you have received from an individual officer or service.
