A City for Everyone - PDF format (105Kb)

For many years Manchester City Council has been committed to the promotion of equal opportunities. We have tried to ensure that women, disabled people, black and minority ethnic communities, lesbians, gay men, young people and older people all have equal access to our services.

We have also made progress in developing a workforce that better reflects the diverse population of the city we serve. We have reviewed our approach to equal opportunities, taking into account new information and legislation on the issue and driven by our commitment to tackling the glaring inequalities that still exist in Manchester.
