Third Sector Policy and Grants
Role of the Section
Manchester City Council values the role of the voluntary and community sectors and its contribution to the Manchester Community Strategy. The Third Sector Policy and Grants Team supports the development of the third sector through a range of grants programme and partnership activity.
We are based in the Chief Executives Department Area Co-ordination and Third Sector Team and lead on policy issues relating to the Council's relationship with Third Sector in Manchester. The team manages small grant and revenue funding programmes for Manchester based groups that are not service specific but which support the aims of the Manchester Community Strategy.
We represent the Council at the Manchester Partnership Working group. The work of this group is guided by the principles of Working Together: A Compact for Manchester.
