New Smithfield Market is the largest wholesale market in the North West of England occupying a 35 acre site just 2.5 miles from Manchester City Centre.  

Within easy reach of the M56, M60, M62 motorways and Manchester Airport, the location provides direct access to customers at a local & regional level, whilst providing a superb base for distribution nationally and to mainland Europe.

Opening times:

New Smithfield Market is open to the public and trade seven days a week.

  • Monday-Friday from 2:30am to 12.30pm (trade) & 5.30am to 10.30am (public); and
  • Saturdays from 2:30am to 11am (trade) & 5.30am to 10.30am (public).

  • Opens to traders at 5am, trading spaces allocated from 6am onwards
  • Opens to the public from 7am to 2pm
