On-Street Parking

Parking in the city centre

Civil Enforcement Officers on bikesWe are responsible for ensuring that parking provision in the city centre is managed, and that there is a regular turnover of parking spaces to enable residents, shoppers, visitors and workers access to the city.

By on-street parking we mean the pay and display parking bays available throughout the city centre.

Those people who break parking regulations in Manchester without justification, will be liable to receive a penalty charge notice.

Up to (and including) Sunday 23 October 2011 on-street parking operates in the city centre between 8:00-18:00 Monday-Saturday.  Pay & Display does not operate on Sundays or Bank Holidays unless otherwise stated.

From (and including) Monday 24 October 2011 on-street parking operates in the city centre between 8:00-20:00 Monday-Sunday.  Pay & Display does not operate on Bank Holidays unless otherwise stated.

Parking zone two is red (two hour zone)
